Camo Jacket Love

One of my must-have staples this Fall is an oversized Camo Jacket. I wanted to go the vintage route because it gives me a sense of authenticity in the piece. I got mine at the Melrose Trading Post for $10! It was such a steal!

The key to finding the right vintage jacket is making sure it’s not too worn, but still looks somewhat washed down. Give it a good look on all sides –  a little bit of fading in the creases is good, but if it’s stained or has holes (not in the cute distressed way) I would put it back. You never know if you’ll be able to take the stain out and you don’t want to end up buying something you won’t wear. Always check around at different stalls if you’re at a flea market because some can charge up to 10x more than others. Try the jacket on if you have a chance because it’s usually not returnable. Other than flea markets, thrift stores and Army surplus stores will have them for sure.

If you don’t have any luck finding a vintage jacket, I found some cute ones online you guys can buy down at the bottom of this post!

I styled mine with a camel sweater and black denim to play off the Camo colors of the jacket. With the warm weather in LA, slides were the perfect shoes for this combo. Camel, Taupe, Black, Tan, Brown, and Olive would all be great colors to rock with your jacket.
